About UsUpdatedTuesday March 20, 2018 byBill Huffman.
In the late nineties the Wolfeboro-Tuftonboro Youth Baseball League chartered with Babe Ruth/Cal Ripken baseball and was reorganized as Kingswood Cal Ripken Baseball League, also known as KCRBL.
Since that time KCRBL expanded to four sub leagues, Instructional/T-Ball (4-6 years old) Rookies (6-8 years old), Minors (9-10 years old) and Majors (11-12 years old). Being part of the Cal Ripken program provides support to our league, from coaches training to insurance and more.
KCRBL has once again reorganized forming a 501C-3 youth charity organization, making tax donations tax deductible. KCRBL has recently added Babe Ruth Baseball for 13-15 year old and now Babe Ruth Softball for girls and boys that prefer softball.
Having the complete Babe Ruth Program under one roof will allow all the programs to grow and greatly increase the resources for each of the programs and allow the players a smooth transition from one program to another. Our league boundary includes Wolfeboro, Tuftonboro, Brookfield, New Durham, Ossipee, and Effingham for all levels and programs.
KCRBL Inc, now goes by dba KCRBL- (Kingswood Cal Ripken Babe Ruth Leagues). dba KCRBL is run by a 6 member Board of Directors, a President, Treasurer, Secretary and a Vice President of each division as well as several team managers, coaches, and volunteers. All are volunteers.
It is our mission to continue to develop and provide the best possible baseball/softball program for the greater Kingswood area.
We have recently partnered with W.A.R.A. owners of the NICK Athletic Park in an effort to raise the money needed to maintain the baseball fields at the NICK. Please help us by supporting our snack shack and other fund raising events.
Our season usually runs from mid March to July 1st, with the early season practices indoors in the school gyms. We field 10U and 12U tournament teams each season and two all-star teams in each sub league. Our season schedule is posted elsewhere on the website.
